In Mark 2, four friends carried a paralyzed man to Jesus. But when they got to the house, the crowd was so packed they couldn’t get in. So what did they do? They made room—they tore open the roof and lowered their friend right to Jesus’ feet.
Here’s the takeaway: when we make room for people, miracles can happen. The crowd created barriers, but the friends removed barriers. We can either block the way to Jesus or help people get to Him.
So what does that look like today? It might mean making room in our schedules for people who need us. Making room in our homes to show hospitality. Or making room in our church so more people can encounter Christ.
This week, let’s ask: Am I part of the crowd that clutters the way, or am I one of the friends who clears the way? Let’s make room for people—because when we do, lives get changed.
